Block Entire Source Block Individual Channels

• Select Parental Cfl. • SelectParental Ctl.

• Select Block Hours and press on the arrow

to set the length of time PC will be active:

OFF, 12, 24, 48, or 72 hours.

• Set Block Source. Move the pointer to

the status bar at the bottom and press on

"unblocked" to change it to "blocked."

• To block other sources, move the pointer to

the left side of the status bar and press to se-

lect another source. Move the pointer back

to the right side and press to show

"blocked."

• Point and press on Exit and enter any

4-number access code by pressing on the

individual numbers. You will be asked to

verify the code by entering it again.

i• Select Block Hours and press on the arrow

to set the length of time PC will be active:

OFF, 12, 24, 48, or 72 hours.

• Select Block Channels.

• For each channel to be blocked, move the

pointer to the number and press the trackball

twice.

• Point and press on Exit twice and enter a

4-number access code by pressing on the

individual numbers.

Re-enter PC While it is Activated

• Select Parental Ctl.

;* Enter your access code when prompted to

do so.

* Make your changes (block more channels,

reset the time period, etc.)

• Point and press on Exit.

• You will be prompted to "change code if

desired." Either enter a new 4-number code

or do nothing to retain the current code.

REMEMBER YOUR ACCESS CODE! TO RE-ACCESS PARENTAL CONTROL WHILE IT IS ACTIVATED, YOU MUST

ENTER THIS NUMBER. Otherwise, simply allow the specified period of time to elapse.

NOTE:

• Do not unplug the TV in an attempt to deactivate the Parental Control. This only resets Parental Control.

USlN(; CAPTIONS

: Activating Captions

Highlight and press Caption/Text.

Press the trackball repeatedly to toggle through the nine choices:

Off, Caption 1, Caption 2, Caption 3, Caption 4, Text 1,Text 2,

Text 3, or Text 4.

NOTE:

• At present, very few TV programs or video tapes offer text caption-

ing for any option other than CAPTION 1. Therefore, CAPTION

1 is the only recommended choice, unless you know that a specific

program is providing captioning using one of the other selections.
