AUDIO MENU

SPEAKER BALANCE

Stereo Operation

is Select Stereo as the Audio option.

• Select a desired Enhancement: Concert llall, Theater, Night

Club or Stadium, or set Enhancement to Off.

, Adjust Bass and Treble for the most pleasing sound.

, Select Balance and press the Left/Right arrow key to view the

speaker balance screen.

. Press the Up/Down keys to choose the speakers you want to

adjust; either the front speakers (those in the TV) or the optional

surround sound speakers.

• Press the Left/Right keys to adjust the selected speakers.

Dolby Pro Logic-Normal

Select Dolby Pro Logic-

Normal as the Enhancement.

Turn on the external amplifier

and set its volume to

approximately the same

volume as the TV.

Bass and Treble can not be

adjusted for Pro Logic

Normal.

• Select Balance and press the

Left/Right arrow key to view

the Pro Logic balance screen.

* Press the Up/Down keys to

select a speaker (Left, Right

or Surround) to adjust.

• A highlight box and an

audible "hissing" sound will

"bounce" between the

selected speaker and the

Center,Reference.

Press the Left/Right keys to

set the volume of the

"hissing" (for the selected

speaker) to approximately the

same level as the "hissing" of

the Center Reference. Do

this for each speaker.

Dolby Pro Logic.Phantom

• Select Dolby Pro Logic

Phantom as the Enhancement.

• Adjust Bass and Treble for the

most pleasing sound.

• Select Balance and press the

Left/Right arrow key to view

the Pro Logic balance screen.

• Press the Up/Down keys to

select a speaker (Left, Right or

Surround) to adjust.

• A highlight box and an

audible "hissing" sound will

"bounce" between the selected

speaker and the Center

Reference.

Press the Left/Right keys to

set the volume of the

"hissing" (for the selected

speaker) to approximately the

same level as the "hissing" of

the Center Reference. Do

this for each speaker.

NOTES:

• Optional Surround speakers must be connected to hear Surround Sound.

• An external amplifier must be connected to use Dolby Pro Logic-

Normal audio enhancement.

• To fully appreciate the quality of sound provided by the Dolby Pro

Logic audio system, make sure the speakers are balanced as de-

scribed above.

• While Pro Logic-Normal is selected, Bass and Treble adjustments

on the TV are not possible. These must be adjusted using the exter-

nal amplifier.

speakers in television and increase/decrease surround

sound.

PRO LOGIC BALANCE

Up/Down arrow keys select the speakers.

Left/Right arrow keys adjusts the level of sound.
